Goings ons

So, I sort of realized that this had become a baby blog. That makes sense since basically my baby is my life, but I do realize some may actually not care about the quantity of spit up my baby can produce and would actually like to read a little something about me. So here's what's going on with me.

I am currently trying to apply for graduate school in the social work master's program but things have been not going well for that. Such as the fact I need two more references and the application is due in two weeks. Great. So now I wonder if I really should apply and everything but I really think I need to, so we'll see how that goes. If worse comes to worse I'll just be taking a year off to try to accumulate references. Not actually a bad idea, but I'd like to try this year still.

While that is happening, I am also looking for a job. Life, and especially graduate school, costs mucho bucks. Thankfully mi esposo has found a good job, but with him going back to school it won't be exactly enough so I am finding a place to wield my skills. Unfortunately, no one seems to want someone with a pretty useless degree, unless of course I could speak Spanish. After four plus years of learning Spanish you'd think I would qualify but really I am just not fluent enough. So that is why I will also be doing my best to somehow keep up and teach myself Spanish.

But other than these two pressing objectives, life is extremely good. I have a wonderful family. My husband and baby are a fulfillment of a dream I didn't even know I had. The rest of my family and my friends make life a fun ride.

Here is something I have learned over and over: things will work out.
